OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
CLEAN H2O MINERAL FREE H2O WASH DOWN FILTERS
Hook the unit to municipal water supply. Flush the filter for approximately 60 seconds. Now you are ready to clean. Note: DO NOT exceed the number of gallons the filter is rated for before proceeding with the recharge instructions below.
Develop a supply of salt water (called brine) in a water container, preferably a 2-liter bottle. A package of conditioning salt** is included with your Clean H2O system. Put the bag of salt into the bottle, and then fill the container with water. Your solution of brine water will be ready in a matter of minutes. Ensure you don't pour salt crystals directly into the filter. FILL WITH DISSOLVED BRINE WATER ONLY!! **Additional conditioning salt can be purchased at most food and hardware stores (aka: soft water salt).
Disconnect the filter from the municipal water supply and turn the filter so that the fittings are facing down. Drain the filter until no water is draining out of the unit.
Pour the brine into the inlet of the filter system, until brine water flows out of the outlet fitting. Plug up both fittings with your hands and shake filter housing for 30 seconds to mix the salt water with the cleaning media. Let filter regenerate for a minimum of one hour.
You are now ready to clean again. Proceed again w/ step 1.
Notes:
- Store your filter with water in the unit.
- Do not run this system on a hot water supply.
- Do not mount system in direct sunlight.
